What's Inside The Box?
Each kit brings together precision-cut wooden parts, DIY materials and illustrated, step-by-step English instructions. Pre-printed details and LED lighting components are included where they’re part of the design.
We also add practical extras such as tweezers and selected building tools to many of our kits. These extras vary with the design and its assembly method. Due to shipping safety restrictions, glue and batteries are not included. Please prepare your own if needed.
Will Items Ship Together?
Your order may arrive in multiple packages if:

Does it come with working lights? How does it work?
Our light-up designs include LED lighting components to bring your miniature scene to life with a warm glow.
Some kits use USB power, while others use batteries; the power source is marked on each product page. USB-powered kits need to stay plugged in. For battery-powered kits, please prepare your own batteries in the type specified for the kit.

How Long Does It Take To Build?
Building times range from 3-20 magical hours depending on:

Most crafters tell us the process is wonderfully relaxing - pour some tea, play soft music, and watch your tiny world come alive!
Do I need any extra tools?
Please have a pair of scissors ready, plus your own craft glue if your kit needs it and batteries if it is battery powered.
We provide tweezers, and selected kits also include other small assembly tools. Glue-free designs may include adhesive stickers or double-sided tape instead of liquid glue. Glue and batteries are not supplied due to shipping safety restrictions.
What Kind Of Glue Should I Use?
Please prepare your own glue if your kit requires it, as glue is not supplied due to shipping safety restrictions. These are useful options:
- White PVA craft glue — a good choice for paper and wooden pieces.
- Clear-drying craft adhesive — choose one labelled as suitable for the specific materials you’re joining.
Test a small, hidden area first and follow the adhesive’s directions for application and drying. Some glue-free designs use the included stickers or double-sided tape instead of liquid glue.
What If A Part Is Missing Or Damaged?
We carefully inspect every kit before shipping. However, if any part arrives missing or damaged, please submit a request through our Parts Replacement Service page.
We offer one free parts replacement within 90 days for every order.

This book nook has to be my absolute favorite! I am new to this craft. I hesitated to buy this kit because it appeared to be very challenging for my skill level. It was in deed a challenge but one that I overcame with patience and tenacity. I had to file some pieces to fit and of course once you file it down a little, you need to use glue to make it secure. No problem. I wanted to complete this one and make it the centerpiece of my collection, so I made it work. It is a unique design and a beautiful work when completed. It is sturdy and beautiful. I want to do another one with the red Autumn tree but I'm having trouble finding that kit now. This one is a challenge but the end result is beautiful. Try it.
I was a little afraid before i bought it. But it is the original and i'm so happy with it! It comes sealed and has a very clear and professional instruction booklet included. Most parts are made of plywood and all are already cut. The printing on the plywood is incredibly fine and detailed. Other parts are made of different materials and all just amazing. The lights are already soldered and can be easily installed. It is truly a piece of art and i love it - thanks!
It takes time!! And lots of patience.. it took me around 14 hours to completed it, of course I did not finished it in one day. Took me around a week and putting in around 1 and a half every day. Totally worth it, the only issue is that the lights aren’t bright enough so if you can get the lights more bright do it
The whole process felt calm, focused, and surprisingly fun. Everything was organized well, so I did not spend ages hunting for pieces. Would happily recommend it to anyone who enjoys patient, hands-on projects.

I've made a few book nooks over the years from easy to challenging. This is more on the challenging side. It's definitely more for adults and requires a lot of patient and time. The details are really nice, and it has a more realistic look as it comes along. The pieces are good quality, and the directions are pretty easy to follow. This one cannot be rushed or done in one day if you want to do it correctly. It has everything you need; however, I prefer to use my own glue. Some of the pieces were a little difficult to put together and needed to be filed down a bit to fit properly which was no big deal. I find it to be a very relaxing hobby and clears the mind. The added LED lights and the detail make this book nook a nice piece to display on your bookshelf, especially if you like miniatures. The price is a little steep in my opinion for a book nook, but it makes a great gift for hobbyist as it is of good quality.
This was exactly the kind of quiet project I needed. I appreciated being able to customize a few details as I went along. Even the back and side areas have thoughtful little touches. The materials felt sturdier than I expected and nothing arrived damaged. Would happily recommend it to anyone who enjoys patient, hands-on projects.

Recently started by Dolls House Shop and I’m loving it. The instructions are good…I have made other BookNooks before which helps. I have just reached making the display stands so I’m looking forward to putting the tiny items I’ve made in their right places. I shall be disappointed when I’ve actually finished the whole model! I bought this as a screen-free project and it absolutely delivered. The pieces released cleanly and most of them fit with a nice snug click. The finished piece catches my eye every time I walk past it. It took me several evenings because I refused to rush the delicate parts. It made a thoughtful gift, and the recipient was thrilled.
This is one of the more intricate models I've had in a long time. I was not expecting there to be so many pieces to assemble, nor the detail that would be involved in making the pieces look like they are supposed to, which is the only reason for the four stars instead of five. This model is not easy, but it doesn't seem to be hard either, just really involved. It is made out of good quality particle board that is pre-printed to look like wood. And the stickers needed to add the details are not flimsy paper material, but seem like more of a high quality sticker that will adhere and stay looking the same for a time. It also comes with a lighting kit that is really cool because not only does it fit in with the over-all look, but it will make it so much easier to observe the many intricate details once it is finally finished. It is not a cheap model, but it is not a toy either. As far as this type of model goes, I feel that it is priced pretty appropriately.

When I finally switched the lights on, it had that lovely 'okay, this was absolutely worth it' moment. Great little escape from the usual routine.

I’ll start by saying I had ZERO experience with miniature kits before this. I’ve never built a model car, dollhouse, or anything similar. I thought this would be kind of like putting together a puzzle. It isn’t. As someone completely new to this hobby, I find it fairly challenging. The listing does recommend it for more advanced builders (ages 14+), and I can definitely see why. There are a lot of tiny pieces, careful assembly, and plenty of opportunities for trial and error. Even so, I’m honestly having a blast. The instructions have been easy enough to follow, all of the pieces I’ve needed so far have been included, and the laser-cut wooden pieces fit together well (file included for use when needed). Just be sure to have glue and two AAA batteries on hand before you start, as those are required but not included. What surprised me most is how relaxing this has become. For the last four days, I’ve sat down and worked on it a little while talking with my family or watching TV in the evening; It’s a nice break from constantly reaching for my phone, and I actually look forward to spending a little time on it each night. Even though I’m nowhere near finished yet, I’m already excited to display it on my bookshelf. I absolutely love the old-library aesthetic and it’s been really satisfying watching it slowly come together piece by piece. If you’re expecting a quick afternoon craft, this probably isn’t it. But if you enjoy detailed projects and don’t mind taking your time, it’s a rewarding build that gives you a real sense of accomplishment. The pieces are so beautifully detailed, I hope I can do it justice. Overall, this has been a fun introduction to miniature building, and I can easily see myself picking up another kit in the future!

The product arrived in good condition. i have already assembled several kits of this type, so i know the materials are of good quality and the pieces fit together quite well. it's not a premium, top-of-the-line kit, but it does its job, and the final result looks really beautiful.

The parcel was left outside in the rain. The outer box suffered, but the inner packaging protected the contents and the build was enjoyable.
