The Story Behind It

FAQs
Quick answers before you build.
About this kit
What's Inside The Box?
Kit contents vary by model. Check this product’s specifications and In the Box & Extras section for the included parts, lighting components, tools and accessories.
Liquid glue and batteries are not supplied. Please prepare them if your kit requires them. Some glue-free kits use supplied tape or stickers instead.
Does it come with working lights? How does it work?
Lighting and power requirements vary by kit. Check this product’s specifications to confirm whether lighting is included and whether it uses USB power or batteries. Batteries are not supplied.
Touch control describes how the light is switched on or off; it does not identify the power source. If the power details are unclear, email contact@hinooki.com before ordering.
Is This Beginner-friendly?
Suitability varies by kit. Check this product’s instructions, recommended age and any stated skill requirements. Small parts and detailed assembly may require patience and care.
If you are new to miniature building, email contact@hinooki.com with the kit name and we can help you check whether it suits your experience.
How Long Does It Take To Build?
Build time varies with the kit, your experience and your pace. Use the estimate on this product page, if provided, as a guide rather than a guarantee. You can spread the build over several sessions.
Do I need any extra tools?
Included tools and extras vary by kit. Check this product’s In the Box & Extras section and instructions before preparing supplies. Liquid glue and batteries are not supplied; prepare them only if required for this kit.
If an included item is unclear, email contact@hinooki.com with the product name.
What Kind Of Glue Should I Use?
Liquid glue is not supplied. Some kits use included tape or stickers and do not need liquid glue.
If glue is required, follow the kit instructions and choose an adhesive suitable for the materials being joined. PVA craft glue is commonly used for paper and wood. Follow the adhesive maker’s directions, including drying time, and keep glue away from electrical components.
Are These Kits Suitable for Children?
Follow the age recommendation and safety warnings for the specific kit. Small parts and assembly tools may be unsuitable for young children. Adult supervision does not replace the manufacturer’s minimum-age guidance.
If the recommended age is not shown, contact us before buying for a child.

Every month i look at hinooki's wooden die cut puzzles, for my husband for christmas. I've purchased for several years now and he gets hours of tinker time. Everyone of them that moves, works, has always worked and we'll
By far the best one yet! Really solid quality and the directions are very clear. The only problem is had was the touch sensor didn't want to work in the place or was designed to go so I ended up wiring it on the outside
Great product. A little hard for my 79 year old hands to put together, but so much fun. Quality of everything is great. Looking forward to seeing it completed.
